Still want to be a one issue voter?

A new global survey from the Guttmacher Institute and the World Health Organization shows that globally, the number of abortions has declined since 1995.
More interestingly, the study found that whether abortion is legal or not in a country, makes no difference abortion rates, and that nations where abortions are illegal have higher rates than nations where abortion is legal. Factors indicated that may help decrease abortion rates included increased accesability to contraceptives, poverty rates, and healthcare.
Given this information does it still make sense to vote for a politition who will veto bills to increase healthcare for children of low income families, support abstinence only sex education and would like to make abortions illegal in all cases?
